Practical life
Pouring, transferring, cleaning, organizing, self-care, food routines, and other meaningful tasks that build coordination and confidence.
Oak Hearth Learning gives preschool-aged children opportunities to explore, practice, create, communicate, and develop confidence in a warm small-group setting.
Children are active participants in their learning. The environment is intentionally arranged so they can make appropriate choices, work with hands-on materials, repeat activities, and gradually do more for themselves.
The goal is not to make preschool feel like elementary school early. It is to help children develop the habits, language, coordination, curiosity, and social confidence that make later learning easier.
A strong preschool environment does not depend on one kind of activity. Children need opportunities to think, move, create, communicate, care for themselves, and participate with others.
